Engaging Time Articles, Never Would Have Known From Cover Lines

Upon receiving and flipping through my new issue of Time Magazine dated March 1, 2010, I was immediately immersed with its content. Had I not subscribed to the publication, it's an unlikely shame that I probably would have never opened it since its cover lines did not convey anything I would be remotely interested in.

When I first opened the issue, I of course flipped to the back in search of Joel Stein's "Awesome Column." Another awesome article, indeed. Stein discussed genealogy as he discussed it with Friends' star, Lisa Kudrow. I call it - food for thought. Although reluctant to care about what his great-great-great-grandfather did, Stein opens eyes to why genealogy is noteworthy after all. Another article I thought was interesting and could be appreciated by my generation was the Life article about Marketing. "Neural advertisers are planning a stealth attack - on your ears." Journalist Jefferey Kluger discussed how sound draws us in and how marketers are planing on taking advantage of this by adding subtle sound to advertising.

WP7

And, although I hate to see a cool gadget that isn't Apple, in a different article Peter Ha explained how the new Microsoft Smart Phone may just give competitors a run for their money. While it doesn't have the not so fancy apple trademark on the back, the WP7 looks promising.

Cool fact from this issue: 97 Million people = number of U.S viewers who watched the first two days of the Winter Olympics.
