My dads traveling bag?

I think Time has some of the most well written, well researched articles in the industry. I started reading it about a year ago while on a mission to expand my horizons. Since discovering witty journalist Joel Stein, of Time's "The Awesome Column," I've been hooked. But, when my new issue arrived with the above on it's cover, I was less than excited about considering the renewal of my subscription, especially after I just renewed my subscription to TV Guide for 52 issues at $8.95. No free bag needed at that price. Who doesn't love free stuff? Including a free bag is certainly an incentive to renew a subscription and while the bag appeals to it's target audience, younger readers couldn't have been considered. I vote for it to include a little something extra which would appeal to a wider audience, especially with the $89.95 price tag. At $89.95, the reader will receive 168 weekly issues at $.54 an issue. When you look at it that way, it's pretty darn cheap, but where's the incentive to pay the $89.95 when the reader can do 112 or 56 issues at the same $.54 an issue? Perhaps bring it down to $.50 an issue with the higher price tag so the consumer can truly feel like the higher price tag is the better deal.
